Hatha Yoga uses postures (asana) and conscious breathing (Pranayama) in combination with mental focus to develop awareness, strength and flexibility, and relaxation. Through proper alignment and mindful actions of the body, Hatha Yoga brings balance, strength, and a sense of well-being to the practitioner. Hatha is the default style for Mindful Yoga Practice.
A Hatha Yoga class is a slightly slower paced stretching and strengthening yoga class, with simple breathing exercises and some meditation. This class is great for beginners and anyone who may need or enjoy a nice slow stretch for their muscles, strengthening for the body, and calming for the mind. The slow gentle flow of postures will enable you to create a fit, healthy, strong, more flexible body – at your own pace.
Focusing on the present moment using breath, movement, and meditation you will leave this class feeling rejuvenated and relaxed.
